Second City Troop Men's Rugby Club was founded in 1986 and calls Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, home. Members of the men's club range in age from 18 to 60 years old and represent many different cultural and career backgrounds. With the same diversity as the men's club, the youth program is comprised of students that are 14 to 18 years old and attend local high schools.
As a club, we pride ourselves in attempting to nurture home-grown talent and to representing ourselves and our community to our fullest abilities.
Troop Youth competes in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Football Union Division III (EPRU), and in the Mid Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU) Division III Playoffs. MARFU is a Division of the national rugby organization, USA Rugby (USAR). Second City Troop adopts and lives by the mission established by MARFU:
"To lead in the development and promotion of the sport of rugby through the establishment and fostering of comprehensive programs at all levels within its boundaries and to support the growth of the United States of America as a competitive rugby playing nation."
