Eric Bachman  “Bachman” (2002-2005)

Bachman started playing for troop spring of 2002 as a freshman at Radnor High School. He played for 6 years four of which were spent playing for troop in high school, and two of those years were spent as the troop captain and MVP. Bachman primarily plays flanker and 8-man, but has been known to fill in for back positions from time to time. Terry “Bootstraps” Wendelken taught him everything he knows about rugby. Bachman’s family supported not only their son, but the entire team, and for that we thank them. Bachman made the EPRU High School All-Star team four years straight (02’-05’), and went on to make the EPRU Collegiate All-Star team in 2006. Bachman is currently attending the University of Delaware where he is majoring in health and physical education. In addition to this, he is starting as D1 A-Side flank for, and the acting president of, the University of Delaware Men’s Rugby Team; the 2006 EPRU Collegiate Division 1 Champions. After he graduates he hopes to teach locally and come back to his home team Second City Troop. But until then you can keep track of him here and on his University of Delaware Player Profile.
